The U.S. Army Unified Network: Space Solutions for Connectivity, Command and Control

GovMilSpace

Three years ago, the U.S. Army outlined its plans for Unified Network Operations (UNO), accelerating the Pentagon's digital transformation, enabling a global data exchange under a zero-trust security architecture, and supporting increasingly complex requirements for battlefield environments. This session will explore the role that space and satellite technology, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies, plays and will continue to play in driving this transformation for the Army. Speakers will present real-world examples of the Unified Network's capabilities and benefits and outline its strategic importance and impact on global operations. The discussion will also include an overview of how industry collaboration helps overcome cybersecurity challenges for the network.

Open APIs & Ground Station Interoperability

Tech Forum

Interoperability is crucial for the efficient and flexible operation of satellite communication networks and will allow the satellite industry to advance to its full potential. While standardized frameworks like the Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability (DIFI) consortium address this issue, manufacturers also need to be truly open about their "Open APIs." This session will cover both the importance of DIFI, and truly open APIs, and provide a "What if?" vision of the industry if true interoperability were to be achieved.
