The Kymeta Goshawk u8 is a turnkey terminal, providing a powerful solution for remote and mobile environments, wherever your mission takes you. Our unique use of metamaterials to form signal patterns has many advantages, including providing the best performance overscan in its class.
Ensure constant network access, even in remote or hostile conditions. The Goshawk comes with internal LEO, cellular and Wi-Fi capabilities—plus, just add your preferred GEO modem for multi-orbit coverage. With an add-on license, you can quickly enable the GNSS A-PNT port for jamming mitigation in GNSS-denied operations.
Kymeta u8 terminals have been field deployed since 2017 within multiple global forces, boasting the most hours of real-world operation of any products in their class. The Goshawk u8 uses zero moving parts, negating issues with jostling or vibration, and it features the industry’s widest operating temperature range for uninterrupted connectivity, even in extreme heat or cold.
Configurable radome colors and a low physical profile mean the Goshawk u8 terminal will be a subtle addition to any vehicle. And it’s been developed to have a low thermal signature so it’s less detectable by possible infrared threats.
The Goshawk u8 requires notably low steady-state power, which means it can be run on native vehicle power, solar panels, generators, or other alternative power sources. Even when switching between GEO and LEO modes, the power draw remains minimal.
The Goshawk u8 is quick to deploy and easy to operate, with auto-acquisition and tracking features. And, the Kymeta Access app lets you easily manage every aspect of the terminal’s setup and connectivity through an intuitive touchscreen interface.
The Goshawk u8 can easily switch between its built-in LEO and cellular modems, and can seamlessly integrate GEO services as well, with the addition of your external GEO modem.
With the Goshawk u8 terminal, you can access the growing list of LEO networks currently being deployed around the world. LEO networks’ low latency and high throughput make them well-suited to internet connectivity, and what’s more, they perform well in geographies where GEO networks can sometimes struggle. Work with your own network provider or sign up for LEO services from Eutelsat OneWeb, a leading provider of global satellite connectivity.
In addition to its built-in LEO modem, the Goshawk u8 allows the addition of your external GEO modem so you can connect to existing network services without the need for upgrades or additional investments.
