Kymeta’s proprietary pointing and tracking solution ensures best-in-class connectivity on the move. The Hawk u8 is an economical solution for anyone who needs to stay reliably connected while off the beaten path.
The Kymeta Hawk™ u8 is a turnkey terminal, providing a powerful solution for remote and mobile environments, wherever in the world you want to go. Our unique use of metamaterials to form signal patterns has many advantages, including providing the best performance overscan in its class.
To get started, simply unbox, mount, and connect to your vehicle’s power or another AC or DC power source. Kymeta terminals are designed for anyone to be able to easily install and get started, with no special training required.
With the most hours of real-world operation for any terminal in its class, the Hawk u8 has repeatedly proven its durability in providing continuous connectivity in harsh conditions. The Kymeta family of products use zero moving parts, so issues with jostling or vibration are nullified. The Hawk u8 is protected by a highly durable, aerodynamic outer shell, and features the industry’s widest operating temperature range.
The Kymeta Hawk u8 offers flexible connection options to suit your specific requirements. Choose from Satellite only (GEO or LEO) or combined Satellite and Cellular connectivity. Our versatile solutions adapt to your use case, ensuring you stay connected wherever your journey takes you.
The Hawk u8 requires less than 100W nominal power, which means it can be powered by solar panels, generators, or various alternative backup power options. Even when switching between send and receive, or dynamically switching to a new satellite on the move, the power draw remains minimal.
Get the iOS- and Android-native Kymeta Access app, or log in to the web portal for an intuitive interactive experience. The app allows you to manage every aspect of your device’s connectivity, and even helps with the unboxing and installation experience.

GEO networks offer the most stable satellite connectivity option, with the trade-off that there is more latency than with lower orbits. With the Hawk u8 GEO, you can connect to your own provider, or signup for a Kymeta plan ranging from 5 to 240 GB/month, optimized connectivity via satellite and cellular, standard/TRANSEC satellite plans, and up to 10 terminals in one plan.
Thanks to their low latency, LEO networks are fast to connect to and are ideal for time-sensitive transactions and communications. LEO networks have superior indoor penetration, and are also incredibly accurate. With the Hawk u8 LEO terminal, you can work with your own network provider, or sign up for connectivity provided by Eutelsat OneWeb, a leading provider of global satellite services.
Best in-class with a proven track record, the Hawk u8 has the most hours of real-world operation for any terminal in its class. Use this vehicle mount kit to attach the u8 terminals to a vehicle roof rack.
Use this mount to attach the u8 terminal to poles 3 to 6” diameter for a fixed installation. The mount enables up to 45° tilt for GEO installations.
This accessory allows for rapid deployment of your Hawk u8 terminals.
